JIBRIL Restaurant Group, is a certified Halal by JAKIM restaurant, that has been insanely passionate in serving local artisan foods and beverages since we opened our first outlet in 2015, JIBRIL SS15. Our goal is to provide both a superior customer experience with prohibition-era entertainment and tremendous value for our customers.

As of now, JIBRIL Restaurant Group has 6 locations, namely SS15 Subang Jaya (JIBRIL SS15), Publika (JIBRIL Publika), Seksyen 3, Bandar Baru Bangi (JIBRIL Bangi), Larkin Sentral (JIBRIL JB), Setapak (JIBRIL Setapak) & Kelana Jaya (JIBRIL – Culinary Lab, which provides delivery & take away services only).
Other than dining in, customers can also order online from GrabFood, FoodPanda, and ShopeeFood.

WHY JIBRIL?
“The story behind the name ‘JIBRIL’ is VERY personal, emotional and historic”
The name JIBRIL might be familiar to many Malaysians, but the true origin story behind the restaurant’s name is so much more personal, emotional and historic. The founders of JIBRIL were UiTM Law Students.
In UiTM Law School, there’s an annual theatre event called UiTM Mock Trial, where the law students organise a theatre play to showcase how a legal case would play out in a court. In 2013, the Mock Trial is written, directed & acted by the founder(s). The Mock Trial in 2013 was called… you guessed it, JIBRIL.
JIBRIL (Jibril Azym) is a story about a sophisticated autistic lawyer with an intelligent mind, where he can read minds and solve cases in unconventional ways. When we started the restaurant business in 2015, we envision this is the kind of restaurant where JIBRIL will hang out at. Sophisticated, unconventional, yet accessible.

Founded in 2015 by four university students, we focus on delivering sophisticated dining experience to the mass market. We see the big problem — food is either too expensive when it’s good, or its taste is subpar when it’s cheap.
JIBRIL Restaurant Group is founded to fill that gap, a well-decorated speakeasy restaurant, food and beverages that are addictive, yet affordable to the mass market.
Hidangan yang sangat creamy dan buttery tetapi tak muak walaupun makan banyak korang. Ayam pun banyak di dalam menu makan bersama dengan nasi panas panas. Memang ngam habis korang! Recommend 10/10 untuk menu ini.
Baru-baru ini, saya berkunjung ke Jibril Malaysia dan mencuba beberapa hidangan yang sangat menarik. Salah satu yang paling saya suka adalah Salted Egg Butter Chicken. Sosnya yang kaya dan lembut menyelubungi ayam yang empuk, menjadikannya hidangan yang sangat menggoda. Saya juga tidak boleh lupa BBQ Chicken Wings. Rasa asapnya yang kuat dan dagingnya yang juicy membuat saya teringin lagi.
Ni pun salah satu menu yang korang kena try, sebab nasi lemak ni ada ayam, udang dengan sotong sekali. 3 in 1 tau ! Dia punya lauk tu disalut dengan butter dipasangkan pula dengan nasi lemak dia pedas so memang mantap gandingan dua ni. Rasa balance antara manis, masin dengan pedas.
It goes without saying that a dish you must sample is the Salted Egg Butter Chicken (RM17.90 for regular, RM15.90 for small). To attain the distinctive crispiness, the chicken undergoes triple frying till it reaches perfection. Drenched in the signature salted egg butter sauce, you’ll quickly understand why patrons rave about this spot.
The salted egg butter chicken was really tasty but not jelat. Their sauce actually isn’t as heart-attack inducing as I personally would have liked (but that’s kind of the devil of what I like eating showing more than anything), but nonetheless, super yummy!
I’ll say this now – and again and again… this dish blew my socks off! Like, dude, the combination of sambal with butter was the best thing I’ve tasted. I could taste the spiciness from the sambal, the sweetness from the butter and the most important thing, the crispiness of the chicken. And the meal was still hot! Consider it my new favourite now.
And if you can’t get enough of them, grab its Hot Chilli Clam served with crispy yet soft mantao buns, or Nasi Lemak Butter Combo! It has salted egg butter chicken, squid and prawn fully coated in its signature sambal that is satisfyingly addictive!
Walaupun menu ini kelihatan ringkas, gabungan sotong, ayam dan udang dengan saiz hidangan yang agak besar cukup memberikan rasa kenyang.
Untuk pelanggan yang mahu menikmati masakan Barat, hidangan butter chicken chop pasta perlu dicuba.
FAQs
JIBRIL Restaurant Group strictly prohibit smoking inside any of our restaurants/premises. This is in line with the government’s imposition of a smoking ban at all restaurants, eateries and roadside stalls nationwide effective 1 January 2019.
YES, we do accept normal reservations! You can place your reservation via this link: jibrilss15.com/reservation. We also have other reservation services during Ramadan period (for Iftar), special table decorations for anniversary & birthday with as low as RM69.00 and any other arrangement / request as may be discussed and agreed by the management team.
For JIBRIL SS15, we do have a designated “room” on our first floor that is used by the staff to pray. However, this is not a proper surau and we will not recommend the customers to use. Mosque is nearby with a few minutes drive, while a proper surau is available at Pelita Restaurant with a few minutes walk.
For JIBRIL Publika, we do not have a surau. However, Publika Shopping Gallery has comfortable surau(s) nearby. The nearest is just a few minutes walk inside the mall area, one level down, behind the escalator.
For JIBRIL Bangi, we do have a designated “area” on our first floor that is used by the staff to pray. However, this is not a proper surau and we will not recommend the customers to use. The nearest surau is just a minute walk i.e. Surau Al Ibroh.
For JIBRIL JB, we do have a designated “surau” on our second floor that is used by the staff to pray. However, we will not recommend the customers to use. Masjid An-Nur @ Larkin Sentral is just a few minutes walk, located directly opposite to our restaurant.
For JIBRIL Kelana Jaya (Culinary Lab), this establishment operates specifically for take away and deliveries (via Grabfood, Foodpanda & Shopeefood) only. Therefore, we do not provide a surau for customers.
For JIBRIL Setapak, we do not have a surau. However, Setapak Central / KL Festival Mall is only located within a few minutes walk and it provides comfortable surau(s) within its premise.
JIBRIL Restaurant Group accepts payment by cash, credit card, debit card, QR pays (Maybank, GrabPay etc) as well as online bank in. Basically, we try to provide as many payment options for our customers’ convenience.
Yes, JIBRIL Restaurant Group is kids-friendly. The restaurant setup is suitable for everyone, including kids / toddlers. We also provide baby chairs and any other special requests can be arranged (if possible) as discussed with the team.
Yes! JIBRIL Restaurant Group is halal certified by JAKIM (MS1500 2 074-02/2023), and for information, is also 100% owned by Malay Muslims – please refer to the “Management Team” section for further details.
